Random Events

I have so much to say and so little time... the past two weeks have held much shuffling around for me.

Halloween 2008 :
We received what is possibly one of the best invitations I have ever seen to a Halloween party recently. It was a little black box containing some shredded white filler and a plaster finger. I was originally planning on hosting a party of our own, but we may be going to this one instead.

That being said, I have decided what I want to be this Halloween... thus spurring me to shape up so I actually look good in my costume, in lieu of looking like a baffoon. The chosen costume... *drum roll please*... a Chicago Bears Draft Girl (I have to purchase the items separately... but it should be pretty cute.)

As a result of having to wear tight-ish pants for Halloween, I have decided I am in need of toning up and shaving off a bit of weight. I look forward to the possibility of losing at least 7-10 pounds by then... meaning hard work and dedication. (The nice thing is that, if I can manage to reach the 10 pound goal, I will be 20 away from my ultimate goal weight which I have decided to meet by May 2009).

Renaissance Festival 2008 :
Last weekend we took a trip to Ren Fest. That was very entertaining. I always get such a kick out of going to those. We milled about for a little over an hour, taking pictures and eating goodies; then loaded up and hit The Cheesecake Factory for lunch before returning home. Of course, you can't go to The Cheesecake Factory and not have cheesecake for dessert. We selected the Dutch Apple Caramel pie... tres yummay!

Crafty Stuff :
I spent most of my Sunday (9/28) cursing at tee shirt transfers. The instructions clearly said the transfer should set after 2 minutes… WRONG… it took them at least 7 minutes to set. So I ended up changing the design on the project I’m working with.

What started as a Scooby Doo quilt with 5 images of the gang hand colored and placed onto white fabric has ended as the same quilt with a single hand-colored image of the entire gang in the center. I have been working on placing the other blocks on the quilt and will soon begin to sew. Thank goodness this particular quilt is only a child-sized quilt or I’d be in serious trouble as I have to get this one out quick fast and in a hurry!

Going to Chi-town :
October 3-5, Rob and I are heading to Chicago, IL for a 3-day weekend. Those are always loaded with entertainment for me... Chicago is a photographer's paradise! This trip has been up in the air here and there, but it finally looks like we are going to get the chance to get away *crosses fingers*.

That's it in a nutshell... for now.

A little bit different... maybe not so much.

So many things change so fast... I've settled to hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
