It seems that weekends start out with the greatest of intentions and loads of time to waste.
By the end, you are left wondering where all of that wonderful "free time" went and evaluating
the tasks you completed to judge whether or not the weekend was truly productive.
In all honesty, I got quite a bit done. It's hard since Rob's arm is broken - as it's difficult to do most house chores with one arm in a contraption. So, considering... perhaps I'm just setting my goals too high.
List of things I wanted to do:
vacuum
iron
dust
clean bathrooms
make blanket
lay out another blanket
check out new blinds
grocery shop
take down remaining Christmas decorations
put items in the closet downstairs
put kitty items away
clean computer room
exercise
make cupcakes
make salmon patties

I also started thinking of ways to reorganize rooms. There is some definite furniture reorganization that needs to take place... and we will need to purchase some furniture items later this summer as well - as long as no major changes happen between now and then, all should stand.
As for the blinds... we actually went in to Lowes and processed an order, then discovered an error in the measurements that were entered into the computer. So, as soon as they opened the next morning, I went in and had them correct the errors.
This entailed them having to take our original charges out of the system and credit our account and reentering the entire order to be charged again... I didn't really think anything of it.
Enter the UPS man two weeks later. Initially, they delivered 6 boxes and we were a few blinds short. A few days later, 8 more boxes came... then we discovered there might be a problem... as the boxes were mostly either double labeled or triple labeled... and we were still missing the vertical blinds for our sliding glass door.
Last night, we went ahead and started opening the boxes of blinds... and we made a rather comical discovery. We had received enough of these beautiful cellular blinds to cover each of the windows in our house twice (with the exception of the back door which we still haven't received). So, it would appear they did not cancel out the goofed up order that was entered initially.
So, this week should be interesting as we still have one manifest that says there is a split and more will be delivered.

A little bit different... maybe not so much.
So many things change so fast... I've settled to hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
