I'm Back

I can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted on here.

Life is so busy now that we have an additional person in the house. Anyone who says life doesn't change much when you introduce a tiny human with endless energy... well, they lie! Oh, at first things are peachy. They don't do a lot in the first few months... but once they learn how to get around, it's a constant learning curve - for both the baby and you.

I love watching our son grow and develop. He has amazed us from the very beginning. Speaking his first words at the tender age of 3 months. Combat crawling at 5 months and crawling at 7 months. Pulling himself to a stand a few days after figuring out how to crawl.

We've gone from the first little things... to his 19-month-old self talking incessantly - and mostly not babble. I'm not kidding... this kid communicates like no other child I've seen! He talks in phrases... combined with Spanish and sign language. It's nothing short of amazing. He also will count from 1-10 from time to time (when he figures out you're listening, he gets bashful and stops at 3 or 4.) He has somehow figured out the first few letters of the alphabet - and he will start singing it to the tune when he thinks you aren't paying attention.

I don't know how this little guy does it. He is nothing short of absolutely amazing... and a miracle. I absolutely adore him.

I can't believe he'll be 2 years old in just 4 months. *sigh*
