Another Year is Almost Over

2015... while you were another year, we will be glad to put some of the awful things you held to rest and forget you.

For those who might be wondering... the boys have been at their new daycare for 3.5 months now. In this time, we have seen their relationship grow by leaps and bounds. We have seen them learn how to share and deal with each other's outbursts in a more constructive manner. We have even seen the very sweet and loving nature return as stress has gone.

We no longer dread the weekends. They are bliss... and we get to really spend time together, enjoying each other. We have the time to do art projects and watch movies as a family. So many things that the awful person who had the boys in her care for July/August tried to steal from us. I will never forgive her for the things she said and did to our son... I am a bit disappointed that it appears she faced absolutely nothing as  a result of raising a hand to our son... but it is time to move on.

The boys had their first school program last week. It was so sweet. We had a great time... and they did as well. The journey at their new school has been amazing, it was so nice to be able to go and watch them perform Christmas songs in front of an audience. They were adorable.

To top it all off, it was snowing when the program finished! Yay! (It didn't stick, though.)

So, we are winding down, counting the days left until Christmas. I have been doing activities with the boys each day to help them gain a better understanding of the season. I set up boxes with themes... and each day there is an activity, a craft, a story, and a movie... as well as a treat. They seem to be enjoying it so far. I know I am as well. :)

So that's it in a nut shell. Can't wait to wave goodbye to 2015 and welcome 2016 with open arms.

A little bit different... maybe not so much.

So many things change so fast... I've settled to hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
