General stuff

Another birthday has come and gone... leaving, in it's wake... me - just a year older. LOL

Lately, I have been having a battle of the wits with my body. I want to lose weight, it wants to gain weight or stay stagnant. I've come to realize my diet may be in need of a major overhaul.

Here are the changes I'm making for this week:

1) I have added acai berry supplement juice to my daily routine. I take 2 ounces in the morning (the suggested time to take it). So far, I have noticed that it makes me have a little more energy (probably will help more when I get back to my normal sleep schedule). It also seems to help me not get ravenous between meals.

2) I have noticed that, when I eat starchy foods my weight goes up or stays the same. So, I am going to start cutting out starchy foods until I find the point at which my body finds a happiness and starts losing again. I'm currently down to 2 starches a day.

3) I have started planning meals for the week before I hit the grocery store on the weekend. This weeks meals include little or no starches; as well as leaner, less fatty meats or fish at dinner time.

4) I have started walking the dog in the evenings. I have been coming to work 7a-5:30p lately.. tomorrow I go back to my normal 8:30-5:30 schedule... so I will start getting up at 5:45 in the morning and doing some sort of physical activity for at least 25-30 minutes before getting ready for work.

Those are my four major changes for the next week. I want to lose 15 pounds by December 6... I believe this should be attainable.... so wish me luck!

A little bit different... maybe not so much.

So many things change so fast... I've settled to hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
