Finding the Best Possible Care

We were notified Thursday morning that our daycare provider is closing her doors.

This is such sad news. Though we have had our differences of opinion, as humans often do, one thing has remained constant - our boys have been in a loving and nurturing environment every day. We don't have to worry about them. We know they are getting amazing care in the comfort of a home.

They get good, nutritious meals. They are getting socialized and they are given learning assignments for pre-K. It is a great setup.

Above all, they are allowed to grow and explore TOGETHER. (This is a facet of home daycare that they wouldn't experience at a center, as centers segregate by age difference... and they are 27 months apart in age.)

It is very troubling to face this monumental change.

We want them to have the very best we can give them. This includes the care we provide them.

In a town where finding child care can be as difficult as finding parking downtown... this is quite a challenge.

So, we begin the task of finding a home daycare option.... wish us luck.

A little bit different... maybe not so much.

So many things change so fast... I've settled to hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
