The new bed

We received our items from Mattress Giant yesterday. They included a new mattress for the guest bedroom downstairs, a trundle/mattress combo for the guest room upstairs, and the new bed for our master bedroom.

When I walked into the master bedroom and saw our new bed, I was shocked. It was like someone stuffed a bed for a giant in a room with furniture fit for a dwarf family. It's pretty funny.

So we have now realized the need for a pair of night stands that are taller. (It's never-ending.) The intention is to eventually get a pair of night stands that can fit with the furniture downstairs. But we're realizing that we might have to get a set in order to assure they will go together well... problem being, the current furniture was gifted to us by my parents... and it was a gift they bought themselves when they were married. So I'm not quite sure what I will do.

The thought has occurred to me that I could possibly move my books from the guest bedroom upstairs and put the antique furniture from downstairs in there... then still keep my mom's furniture. But what to do with the book shelves... hmm.
