Up for Some Change

Summer is once again upon us. I have made a cognitive decision to divorce myself from Weight Watchers. That's right... I have decided I am no longer going to get out of bed early Saturday morning and go to Barlow Plaza to step on a scale then sit in a meeting for 45 minutes.

While I don't doubt Weight Watchers works for many people, it has not been working for me. As a matter of fact, I have gained 10 pounds since I joined Weight Watchers two years ago. Thus, all the money I spent for LA Weight Loss before they went out of business has gone to waste. Therefore, I see no benefit out of getting up early on Saturday morning to go to the meeting and listen to the leader talk about the topics.

I will miss the leader. She is such an amazing person; but I just can't bring myself to spend any more money when I am not gaining a benefit from it.

Instead, I plan on starting to follow the Denise Austin Daily Dozen lifestyle. This means I eat a certain amount of calories per day and do at least her daily dozen exercises each day. (I plan on doing more than just her daily dozen, though. They only take 12 minutes, and I feel that I need more than 12 minutes a day to make a difference in my weight.)

So, here we go. I'm embarking on another adventure.. hopefully I'll learn some valuable tricks and habits along the way. Hopefully these habits will have a positive impact on my weight loss efforts.

Sounds like a wise decision. As far as weight loss things go, it seems like some ways work really well for some people and not at all for others. Just gotta find the right program I think.
