I woke up this morning... I registered that it was bright outside, but thought to myself "The alarm hasn't gone off, so you have a few more minutes to sleep..."
Then, something in the back of my mind whispered "Hey, don't go back to sleep... your alarm should have gone off at 5:25. It's still dark at 5:25... GET UP!"
I turned over and looked at the clock to discover my inner voice was correct, it was 7:33am! That means, I had precisely 10 minutes to let the dog out, feed the dog and the cat and make sure they both had water, get myself dressed, brush my teeth, comb my hair, and get my lunch before flying out the door - if I hoped to make it to work by 8am and not be late!!!!
Panic! I flew through the morning routine... certainly confusing both animals and causing them to panic... and managed to make it to work by 8:01 (after parking and walking from my spot to the office).
So, again I say... thank you wake-up fairy... if it weren't for you, I'd have been late to work... you saved me - and I definitely owe you one!
