Crossroads

sometimes you come to a crossroads in life.

you must choose a path...
do you continue straight...
or do you deviate to the left or the right and
go where the path might lead?

how do you decide?
an educated guess of the unknown is impossible,
a hope and prayer seem frivilous,
but to do nothing will insure peril.

hold your head high and hope for the best
it's what we're all taught from infancy.
be confident and self assured,
why is this so difficult?

the basic concept seems attainable.

get shot down...
pick yourself up...
cross the barren wasteland of the unknown.
you come out the victor...
but first you have to try.
