October was rather uneventful.
My birthday passed, leaving me another year older... it was quiet and intimate... just myself and Rob. He made me dinner - we had steak and lobster (yum!), he sent me flowers at work (incredibly cute and such a nice surprise), and he got me some misc. gifts.
The weekend before Halloween found us welcoming the first snow of the season. It looked just like a blizzard outside, without the ill effect of not being able to drive due to low visibility. I love snow, I can't wait until we get a good snow so I can build winter yard art.
Halloween was looking up. I was getting ready to dress up when we received a call from the in-laws. Seems my father in law stepped wrong on something and broke the bones in his left foot. So he is in an air cast. Rob went to their house to hand out candy and I stayed home, in my "trick or treat" sweatshirt and sweatpants, and handed out candy.
We planned a gathering for November 1 to celebrate Halloween with our friends. This being an incredibly busy year, the invite got out late... so we had only a couple of our good friends show. We sat, chatted, ate a bit... then went on an impromptu "ghost hunt" in a local cemetary. All-in-all, turnout was disappointing, but we had fun anyway.
On we go into November.
The countdown until we go to my hometown for Christmas is at 46 days 12 hours and 30 minutes. :o)
The countdown until our Disney Cruise vacation to Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Castaway Cay is at 205 days 21 hours and 45 minutes... give or take a bit (we don't have our tickets to fly down to Florida yet).

A little bit different... maybe not so much.
So many things change so fast... I've settled to hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
