My husband had to work at the pd yesterday. Right before he went in to take his shower he asked me if I'd ironed his uniform. Of course, the ironing basket is empty... so my answer was, if it was in the ironing basket, it got ironed and hung up.
This answer would be fine and dandy, however the ironing basket is empty... save a few hangers... but his uniform is not hanging in its usual spot in the closet (nor any other spot in the closet). Considering he has roughly 1.5 hours to get to work.. and he works 45 minutes away, this is a HUGE problem.
I tear the closet apart - nothing. I tear the dressers apart - nothing. I look in every other storage receptacle in the house - nothing. I look in the laundry room - nothing. By this point, I'm reduced to tears of frustration because I absolutely hate not being able to find something - especially something so vital.
We resort to sending him to work in his spring uniform and an older pair of pants that are going to find their way into the trash bin at some point.
In searching for the uniform, I remembered that I'd offered to lend my spring-form pan to someone to help with our bake sale this Wednesday... and I discovered all three of my wonderful spring-form pans are also missing.
Okay, my opinion is this, it's fine if the gnomes want to play and move things... but when you bring back my pans and Rob's uniform; you'd BETTER make sure there is a cheesecake in one of the pans. Grr!!

A little bit different... maybe not so much.
So many things change so fast... I've settled to hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
