Furniture...

The new furniture arrived yesterday. We both took the day off in hopes of preparing the house and getting everything moved that we needed moved before the new furniture arrived. We got everything moved, but we have a little bit of damage to repair to a couple of different parts of the wall - just minor damage... oh, and we won't mention the achy muscles... wow!

So we will be doing some repair work. And the rooms are all set up and ready to go. Next task will be to carry the tables from the basement up and get them refinished. I would love to have them upstairs in the sitting room... alas, I believe the tables are too large to fit up there :(.

It appears this will be a busy spring/summer... but it will all be worth it in the end.

Other tasks we hope to accomplish this year:
- redoing our waterfall on our pond... and perhaps extending the size of the pond a bit.
- adding to our garden - I want to create two, equally sized, boxes that are built up to avoid the strawberries getting out of control again.
- planting our garden (we already have seedlings in the house ready to go outside when the time is right!
- getting our hanging baskets set up
- loads of use of our awesome smoker for making various smoked meats.
