New Furniture

We finally decided to just bite the bullet and get the new furniture we've been planning on for a couple of years now. Next Tuesday, it arrives. I am excited... but it's going to be a lot of work.

Purchased: new master bedroom furniture - the furniture currently in the master bedroom to be moved to the guest bedroom downstairs. There is a dresser and bureau in the downstairs bedroom that will be moved to the guest room upstairs.

Purchased: new reclining love seat to match the sleeper sofa/chair combo upstairs. These have been deemed an ill fit for the upstairs sitting room and will be joining the antique tables downstairs. (At some point, the tables will be refinished to a lighter color.)

Purchased: new headboard for the bed downstairs that has never had a headboard of its own. Since it is a queen, the king one for the bed upstairs will not fit. That particular headboard will be stored.

Purchased: new queen sleeper sofa and smaller chair to go in the upstairs sitting room.

I am still debating what to do with the beautiful crystal lamp that has been in the guest room downstairs for a couple of years now. I think I might put it in the sitting room upstairs. It will dress that furniture up a bit (and really fit well with it anyway). Then the lamp that is currently in that room may need a new home... we'll have to see what can be done about that.
