I did my nightly Gazelle "run" early last night. Rob had to do some organizing in the garage, so I decided I'd use that time constructively and exercise.
The plan was for a 15-minute mile. At the 1 mile mark, I switched the tracker on the Gazelle from distance to time and learned that I'd done my mile jog in 14 minutes!!! Woohoo! (I know, it doesn't seem like a huge deal, but considering the fact I was running a mile in 22.10 minutes just two weeks ago, this is a major accomplishment.) I even gave a little yell that Rob heard while he was cleaning up the flower beds outside.
I would like to eventually get my jog down to a 12-minute mile, but that isn't of the utmost importance to me at this stage. The important thing is to sustain a 14-minute mile and then work my way up to 2 miles in 28 minutes. It will all come with time.
